About Me

My name is Alasdair Macdonald.  I live with my wife Rachel, 2 children Craig and Alexis and our 2 dogs, Millie a Scotty/Westie cross and Skye a Shih Tzu and I have been training dogs since 2014.

I am very fortunate, since qualifying as an instructor with Bearsden Dog Training Club in 2014, to have been training dogs and puppies  across the whole of Glasgow and beyond. I only work with positive training methods and my goal is to see a dog or handler achieving their goals, no matter how small or big they are.

I work with dogs and owners of all ages and experience, from puppies and adolescents to more mature dogs, using  modern training techniques to ensure that both you, and your dog, understand what we are looking to achieve.  Most importantly I teach you both how to use these techniques in the real world where it really matters, rather than a classroom environment.

I am very passionate about what I do and my real motivation is to achieve success with your dog.  Whether it is seeing a puppy growing into a well balanced young dog, teaching a client how to walk their dog on a loose leash or to recall consistently, or indeed to teach a dog how to walk without reacting to everything.  All these and many more give a sense of achievement.  More examples are on my Client Review Page 

In addition to running Dogsandpups.co.uk, I am  still involved, as a volunteer with Bearsden Dog Training Club, as both Instructor and Chairperson.
